Not receiving some text messages
-
Hello. I've been running Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus 5 with no problems for about a year. But recently, I learned that I haven't been receiving some text messages. A friend tells me he sent me a text. I didn't receive it. I text him. Then when he responds, I receive his new text along with the text he sent earlier at the same time. This happened twice with two different people. Now I'm worried I've missed a bunch of other texts that I don't know about. Any idea what's happening here or how to fix the problem? thanks!

Thanks for the response. The problem is new. I don't know what OTA 22 is. I see here that the OS was updated on 4/6/22, so the update might have broken something. I have MMS messages enabled, but these people were just sending me short texts, no images or anything. I'm not sure how to know if they were sending SMS or MMS.

@fitz I had exactly that use case few weeks ago with one of my contact, thought it was a provider issue.
I don't see any changes happening on UT regarding the telephony stack since < 6 months, some logs to check if its possible to reproduce:

Okay. That's interesting. Thing is, it happened two times for me.... that I know of. I assume you mean this would be my provider's issue, not theirs'? thanks.

@fitz this is going to be hard to know, device issue, provider issue ?. I was wrong, i was thinking more of a device issue concerning my contact.
Let see if it happens now more often. I signaled my contact to call me if she send a sms and i don't answer a day later... -
Okay. Also, this happened right after the OS update on 4/6/22, so that could be related.

Also, it might have something to do with texts sent while the phone is turned off. Not sure.

Im having the same issue but not receiving any text and cellular data not working. Im pretty sure this is right after the new update

Yeah, and why does my phone say it was last updated 4/6/22? Does yours say that? That's next week.
