No WiFi
-
Odd one here. I have a 16Gb OnePlus One which I can get no WiFi at all working. I have reinstalled the latest CyanogenMod (13.2). I have installed TWRP and formatted all partitions and reinstalled Android. I have installed UT Stable, RC and development. No luck at all. There is no WiFi. I have yet to try a SIM for data. The Cyanogen I have used, I have used before and it worked and I get full WiFi. Any ideas?

Perhaps the aerial is broken.

@mrt10001 Check this thread: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/6300/just-got-a-phone-and-loaded-ut-using-the-installer-i-ve-got-no-wifi-and-no-cellular-data/34
It is quite the painful journey to get there but you will. For my part, I had to install OxygenOS over cyanogen to make it work. Experiences vary and are detailed on this thread. You need to make sure of the exact oneplus you've got. If it's 16gb, it's most likely not the A0001 -
@cliffcoggin Aerial is fine as I can get full wifi working in Android.

@emphrath I looked at that thread and didn't want to necro it, however it did not work for me. I have noticed when I get to UT "desktop" in battery settings WiFi is always disabled! I re-enable and still no WiFi.

Solved it by installing on the halium-developer channel. I don't know whether to mark this as solved yet!

@mrt10001 When you are sure all is ok will be fine

@lakotaubp I will leave it on this channel for testing. It seems to be fine, but may not be the solution for everybody. What I did:
- I thought the phone had Cyanogen 13.2, but oddly the boot splash screen said Android and not Cyanogen Mod. This should have set off alarm bells, however in device info it stated Cyanogen 13.2 and the build number was correct. I unlocked the device and installed UT which installed fine, but no WiFi.
2)Installed via Fastboot Cyanogen 13.2. Then installed UT, no WiFi. Wifi works fine in Cyanogen (Android).
3)Installed Cyanogen 13.2 again and again tried UT. Still no WiFi. Tried some commands in the CLI and it stated that the module was not loaded, giving the standard loopback address of 127.x.x.x. - Installed TWRP, formatted data and erased the partitions.
- Installed Cyanogen 13.2 and tried UT again. Still no WiFi.
6)Installed TWRP and flattened the device again. Then installed OxygenOS. Tried UT again, no install.
7)Re-installed Cyanogen 13.2 and tried UT with the halium-development path. This worked.
Oddly as pointed out previously, the device is 16Gb , it does not show A0001 in the device info.
