Editing with nano

Hello everyone ! I realized some time ago that even though the terminal app as a lot of awesome features (i love it very much) it misses a crucial shortcut: ctrl+X. Am I missing sth ? I tried editing the available shortcuts from the app but couldn't find how. This is really annoying I'd say.
