I bought a google pixel 3a and flashed it with Ubuntu touch(an earlier version this was done like a year ago but only just got round to troubleshooting the device). When booting the device only the google logo is shown, it never actually boots, it seems that Ubuntu-touch didn't properly install. I really don't know quite what to do as I don't have much experience with mobile Linux or android devices. The device worked on android. Thank you in advance for any help you have to offer!

PS the category for Ubuntu touch didn't come up as an option only way droid, apologies for the misplacement.

@onetake33 There is a categorie for your device. Go to Categories -> Devices -> Google -> Pixel -> Google Pixel 3a/3a XL .
I am sure somebody there can help you.

@onetake33 Put it on charge and make sure it gets to at least 80% and then reinstall UT using the installer.

If this fails, there is an issue which causes a hang at the Google logo. This may involve reinstalling the correct stock ROM and doing some stuff. You should find it in the Pixel 3a section under hanging at google logo.

            Hi @onetake33 and welcome,
I moved your topic to the proper category.
There are many categories on the forum that we use to keep information easier to found.
There is also a search engine to find other related topics.

Enjoy and I hope you'll solve your issue installing Ubuntu Touch on your device.

Please look here and follow the instructions https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/sargo/ using the installer again would be my first option.
Also when you say you could not find the right forum categories which ones other than WayDroid could you see? Thanks

Maybe he talks about "support" sub-categories.
Devices sub-categories are not in the support main categories, maybe it can be missleading for newcomers.

@keneda That is what I want to find out. There have been a few questions in WayDroid of late that should be somewhere else. We need the forum to be as easy to use as it can be.
