When I click on a PDF with the File Manager I expect it to open with Document Viewer, but instead it prompts to open with another app. I can then pick Document Viewer and the PDF opens.

I guess the default app or MIME binding is not set. How do I configure File Manager to automatically open PDFs?

        Thanks!

          Hi @lsitongia

This is not how it works on Ubuntu Touch.
To allow for a better ownership of our data the apps are confined and cannot share data by default.
So in order to allow such feature we needed a mechanism to notify the user and let them choose the behavior.

This is done by the "Content Hub", it pops up and prompt the user to choose what to do.
Each app can either be a consumer or a producer with regard to the Content Hub and that for several kind of data.
Depending on the data type, the Content Hub propose options to the user based on the apps installed.

          You have the expected behavior.

@lsitongia There's currently no way to set default app for file types nor URI.
