So just trying to get UT setup on my Oneplus 5. I have gone to system settings then accounts and choosen google. I then selected import from google account, I have entered my username/pw into the morph browser as directed. After that i get a page telling me to close it and go back to the application but no contacts are imported. Can anyone guide me in the right direction please

@lakotaubp searched for non secure apps in google account settings but unable to locate. Based on other comments in this thread I ended up downloading a vcard of all contacts and importing that. That worked but not ideal

@mrmad1966 On your google account you need to have allowed non secure apps, I think it is called then (or try before doing the app thing) you need to switch on the contacts and calendar sync from in the account settings System Settings-Accounts-select your account.

@lakotaubp Unfortunately contact sync is broken for quite some time now: https://gitlab.com/ubports/development/core/address-book-app/-/issues/201

@lakotaubp I wonder how that can be. I completely deleted my contacts db now, deleted Google account from system settings, restarted the phone and retried. Only calendar syncs. In the address-book-app I can't select anything else but personal address book as default (the list doesn't contain anything else) and the app stays empty (not synced).

Hi, I have a Oneplus 5 and I can confirm that sync doesn't work for Google Contacts but is OK for Calendar.
