Who buys a new phone without 5G today? Also, I hate rounded corners - taking away screen real state for "design" purposes, which just look shitty anyway.

I was going to jump to Fairphone 4, but would have considered this instead if it would've just had 5G.

@bocephus I think 5G is still a "good to have" rather than a must have. As for the rounded corners, I hate them too including any kind of cutouts. Add to that the overly curved edges. But I already gave up to tge fact that that's the norm now. These smaller companies can only get what's available in the market. They're not capable of asking specially made components.

I didn't like the Fairphone 4 for its size and notch but after personally having it on my hands, it is a solid and well made device. Most likely Volla phones are too

@bocephus Frankly, I too would have liked Hallo Welt Systeme to take the plunge and now offer a 5G smartphone, which was possible with their partner Gigaset and the GX6, above the GX4 (Volla 23). That said Hallo Welt Systeme being a company and therefore rational in their reasoning, they may have thought that the price of the GX6 Volla would currently be too expensive to reach a large enough audience. 5G will be offered by Hallo Welt but not now unfortunately!

To Hallo Welt Systeme's credit, Volla X23 with Halium 12. So they seem to be the pioneers for this.
