OTA-25 v2
-
@UBportsNews Please don't apologise for this issue. it happens. This is done by volunteers in their own time and is way above what myself and others can do, for which myself personally am very grateful for. Please keep up the good work it's greatly appreciated.

@UBportsNews Thanks a lot!
Will OTA-25 v2 be available for all devices or just for selected devices (the ones that had problems)?Does it fix all the problems reported on OTA-25 v1 or are still problems remaining?
-
@GT AS far as I am aware as with any OTA this will roll out across all devices over the next few days. It's aim is to fix the boot issues on devices with the original 25 as the hotfix of a few days ago did not do that.
The rest of the situation is still the same OTA 25 is the last OTA for 16.04 as development has now stopped. As in this case emergency or repair situations may arise that need a fix but that is not expected.
All future development effort needs to go into 20.04 and then the next one. -
I'm still not offered v2 on my Volla. What happened to the rollout?
-
@Bocephus Same here, no update (OTA-25 v2) yet for Volla 22. I am also still waiting.
-
@Bocephus As the post above the OTA is still marked ota25 so if nothing has shown up perhaps give the installer a try?.
-
@Lakotaubp Indeed, as system settings told me that my Nexus 5 was up to date, I did reinstall using UBports installer and now I'm on the latest version.
-
@Lakotaubp
Or use system settings, switch to RC, update, and then update back to Stable ^^ -
When will the hotfix be available for the stable channel? I still haven't got any update for my BQ Aquaris E4.5, my version is 20230325-314.

When will the hotfix be available for the stable channel?
It is...
But as this update has the same OTA number, your device "think" there is no update.
So, either change channel and update to RC, then update back to stable, or reinstall stable using installer without wipping data.
Be care that channel selection is buggy if you choose this way, see here.
Edit from 16/05/23 : following a problem some user got, for anyone reading this and using this method, be care that updating can take very long (5 to 10 minutes), with screen seeming stuck, so in no case try to reboot, let the device do its stuff, be patient.
And obviously, battery must be charged 70% minimum and for safety, plugged to charger.
