Ubuntu touch what are the purple stars for?

On the Ubuntu Touch page for devices there are purple stars by some phones. What does this mean? Those phones do not seem to have any better Features & Usability. Phones without the stars report:
Developers from the community built this port and reported full functionality.
The device is actively receiving updates and is available in the installer. -
@triplemaya They are the best maintained devices for Xenial and Focal, i.e OnePlus One and Nexus 5 were like the flagship devices for Xenial. The Google Pixel 3a is the flagship device for Focal.

They used to be devices with the best support or a special status (such as devices that were available with UT right from the manufacturer) but now some of the stars are out of date. I wouldn't pay too much mind.

If you have one of the older devices, they are solid for now. Many in our community use them but technical difficulties in updating and closed source elements which we can’t access mean that those devices are not a good choice for anyone just starting with UT. They are also getting aged now and experience hardware faults.If you manage to grab a new generation Ubuntu Touch Edition device like the Pinephone Pro or a Volla phone, that will be supported for much longer of course.

Purple stars is one thing. But what counts is to have a very good focal. And the path seems strewn with pitfalls.
