@UBportsNews I heard several times in the forum that it can help to make a clean focal OTA3 install (including ticked wipe box) for fixing artefacts and remaining faults of Xenial,.
My first question: Is this true?
Second question: While adb is no longer working on newer halium versions, is there a convenient way to back up your data and configurations before doing a clean install?

@messayisto What about using SSH to access the phone?

@zubozrout That has been done, however it would be nice to have a tutorial on what to do when the computer or phone deny access.

                Hello!
since Ubuntu Touch is a huge project with many areas of expertise one big need is more people working on it.
Is there a plan to increase donations or find new sponsors so that more people can be employed?
Is there a plan to make more volunteers contributing to it?
what about Google summer of code or such programs?

thank you for your work and your time!

What are the priorities before the end of year holidays? Will there be any updates (software?) between now and then?

If Alfred is here, could he speak of his app https://open-store.io/app/snapz0r.fredldotme ? This is a great project for UT.

I'm curious how the foundation works. How many employees are there? Does money for the foundation mostly go to paid workers, or to things like hosting costs?

Would more money coming in mean more coders be hired? And is this desired, or is the general preference to keep it mostly community/volunteer based?

                    Thank you!

@UBportsNews Install experiences may vary. I know installing any ROM can go two routes, the easy route or the hard route - it is knowing what to do when going down the hard route which is most people's issue. Is it possible to have better installation documentation using people's experiences and pictures rather than someone's notes from gitlab?

This may encourage people to take the plunge and install on their (spare) device.

I think he finds it harder not to speak about it 😉

                        Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

@messayisto comment: thanks for your answers. Indeed I suceded to pull at least half of my personal data using adb. But it was complicate and the other half is gone, i.e. all of my notes in the nottes-app. I think a solid backup solution for a normal user is urgent.
