openconnect on PinePhone
-
Hi!
I have a PinePhone whith Ubuntu Touch 16.04 on it. Is it possible to install openconnect on it?
I tried "sudo apt-get install openconnect" (after "sudo mount -o remount,rw /"), but I got this:Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
biometryd-bin : Depends: libbiometry1 (= 0.0.3+0~20230413224327.3~1.gbp97b714) but it is not going to be installed
openconnect : Depends: vpnc-scripts but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libopenconnect5 (>= 7.05) but it is not going to be installed
qml-module-biometryd : Depends: libbiometry1 (= 0.0.3+0~20230413224327.3~1.gbp97b714) but it is not going to be installed"apt update" and "apt upgrade" were done before it.
Thannks in advance!

@qnx_guy as 16.04 is now end of life, even on the PinePhone, you might want to start by installing 20.04 on your phone device and then trying again.

@qnx_guy This blog explains all about 20.04 on Pine https://ubports.com/en/blog/ubports-news-1/post/pinephone-and-pinephone-pro-3889 this is the link to the Pine64 group https://t.me/utonpine

@Lakotaubp, @arubislander Hi! Thanks, I've already checked it, I'll give a try. However, I was able to install openconnect on my Nexus 5 which also runs 16.04, so I'm a bit skeptical that installing 20.04 will solve this.
-
@qnx_guy It might not 'solve' it, but you will be using newer software than on 16.04, and you might find more people able to help you, should you encounter any issues.
-
@arubislander I installed 20.04, and I was able to install OpenConnect. Now I have to figure out how could I use 2FA with it (second password comes via text message).

@qnx_guy sms works on my PinePhone, calls do not so you might be ok.
