Can't boot with my lenovo tab m10 fhd plus x606f
-
Hello !
I've just try to install this built (https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/community-ports/android9/lenovo-tab-m10-fhd-plus/lenovo-x606) on my Lenovo tab M10 FHD plus X606F. The link to downgrade the tablet to Android 9 didn't work, so I stayed with Android 10 and simply executed the commands given. But after a successful installation, the tablet wouldn't boot anymore, saying "orange state your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted your device will boot in 5 seconds" and then it boots indefinitely. Fortunately I was able to restore Android thanks to Lenovo's Rescue and Smart Assistant, but I'd like to be able to switch to Ubuntu Touch.What can I do?
I probably need to switch to Android 9, but I can't find how to downgrade my tablet.

I've found the problem: when I want to reboot, TWRP tells me there's no OS installed. But I don't know how to fix it... I've followed all the steps and flashed all the files... Could you please help me?

@Altairo13 The tablet has to be on Android 9 for Ubuntu Touch to install. It is a specific requirement. You must also ensure the userdata partition is formatted to EXT4. If either of these are not done, UT won't boot.
Read this thread.

@MrT10001 Oh, ok. But I can't find the official Android 9 ROM, can I flash something else such as LineageOS (the version based on Android 9 of course) ?

No, it has to be Android 9. To do with vendor BLOBs (like drivers). Rolling back to Android 9 is not an easy task if you are not used to recovering phones or ROM flashing. Half the battle is finding the ROM you need from here as the naming of the file takes a bit of working out! Also stock Android resets the partitions. UT requires the partitions to be "at stock".

@Altairo13 Check this thread out.

@MrT10001 Ok, thanks ! I'll give it a try and let you know
-
@MrT10001 It works ! Thank you very much ! But I've got a little problem : the InfoGraphic on the lock screen displays nothing, even when I click on it. Is it normal?
-
@Altairo13 Can you explain? Is this with Android or UT? What do you mean by infographic? Glad you have it working.
-
@MrT10001 It's with UT. The round on the lock screen displays nothing even when I click on it.
-
@Altairo13 tap three times quickly
-
@messayisto I tried but it didn't work
-
I also have another problem: when I close the cover of my tablet, it turns on instead of off.
-
@Altairo13 Sadly that's a known issue since the start of the port. Is the latest version in focal (Ubuntu 20.04) now?
-
@kugiigi I don't know where I can find my version of UT, but I think that I'm not in the last version
-
@Altairo13 Try tapping on 'System Settings' (little cog wheel on side bar). Then scroll down to the bottom and click on 'About'. You should see your version of UT under 'Software'.
Or slide sown from the top bar and select 'System' on the extreme right, then click on 'About This Device...' which should take you to the same page.
-
@Ian In the 'about' section, I only find the serial number, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth address and the storage.
-
@Altairo13 hmm, odd. On my VollaPhone X I see what you mention and then I get a section on Software.

You don't get the UT version were you have manually installed a development version from Gitlab on some devices. You will also not get the update option either. Look at the version you have on GitLab, you may find more info in the readme or in the file name you have downloaded.
