I need you ! from France !!! Scopes ??

Hello everyone !
I have a Nexus 5 UT. I like it ! but i can't install scopes..; I can't find them..
I search Today scope, nearby, souncloud, news scope . Since Ubuntu store closed i can't download them. how can i do ??
In your Open store no way to find the scopes.

From Today scope : i have download the .click but i does not appear on my scopes. I know i need scope Ubuntu store (but it's close now !!!)

Form Nearby scope : Does not exist a clickable scope ?

From News scope : no way - i can"t find it. I know this scope exist because i have it before my nexus's crash and re-install. I loose all my scope.

So you understand, i like the scope. For me it's fine, and really pratical.

You understand how things work around here? You are not a customer and you are not entitled.

UBports is a community that people join to co-ordinate their efforts to make UbuntuTouch. It is not an organisation you have paid for a product. If it what exists works for you, then great! But nobody is obliged make it work for you.

People invest their time because if they offer improvements that work for them, then there will likely be someone else that will benefit and, in turn, they benefit from the work of others.

Now, given that:

Some of the Canonical scopes have nobody interested in maintaining them. Because of that they are not in the open store.
You can search for "scope" in the open store, but you will only find things that someone is maintaining.

@hudson Hi, All of the scopes you mention are no longer supported as they were Canonical projects and support stopped not long back. If you use app explorer the scopes can be found there with a link to contact the developer to see if they will continue support but I doubt it.
My mx4 doesn't have those scopes now and you do get used to it. The only one I really miss is the today scope that aggregated a few bits of info together in one place. The .click you installed only added info back into the Today scope itself. So without that scope the .click won't work..
Some people will still have theToday scope as they were installed when the old Ubuntu app store was there, I do on my Nexus 5 but as I said not the mx4there which I flash a month or so back.

Hi, I can understand that you miss the today scope. The aggregation feature was really nice to have a few goodies for daily use. Unfortunately there is not enough of us in the community for this to be considered to matter somehow.
A while ago there was a discussion about scopes or not. Not enough people voted to continue support for aggregation scopes in some form. The reasons you hear range from "nobody wants to maintain them" to "their implementation is not nice" .
The short is that scopes do not matter at all to the core team and nobody else from the community has picked up the problem to get it solved. So unless you can maintain them yourself or you know someone who can, you will have to accept that they are gone. R.I.P.

I contacted canonical and the former developers of the scope Today but for now no response from them.
What I found ideal in this system was precisely the scope system.
Now I'm sorry, but I find that the terminal looks without these scopes to an old android.

Maybe I have to develop it myself. I will keep you informed of the evolution of my reflection.

I don't have knowledge of the details, but the code is open source so you can find it, build it, package it and deploy it. If you can get it working you should also upload it to the open store so that others can benefit too. The folks around here will guide you with each step along that path.

The team at Canonical was disbanded a year ago and most of the developers now work elsewhere.
