Various Linux blog are reporting the news that Canonical will drop support for official devices by the end of June.
Perhaps would be a good idea to advertise as much as possible Ubports effort to step in. Many current users may be interested in this project and perhaps they can provide help or financial support.

RE: OTA 3 suggestions: your wanted features
I bought my M10 following the idea (dream..) of convergence. I know that this is not going to happen for the time being. I still consider this achievable (in the long term) and I appreciate your effort. In the meanwhile I thought to re-purpose my M10 tablet as multimedia device to play music and video. However at the moment it is a somewhat disappointing experience: in many situation video playback is buggy ( some avi file refuse to play, subtitle support is missing etc), furthermore BT functionality is limited to certain device. I'll not mention HDMI output as this is a step further . Any improvement in the functionalities for this use case will be really appreciated.

RE: "The" Bluetooth Thread
@wgarcia said in "The" Bluetooth Thread:
separately connected
you mean that you can connect only one device at a time?
I consider this one of the most serious bugs (on a supposedly convergent device). I experienced as well this behaviour even though I dont have 100% reproducibility: 1st device connect properly, 2nd is listed as connected but is not actually working.
Is this limitation still present in UBports build? -
music streaming service
Hi there,
is it possible to use music streaming services (eg Spotify Tidal and the like ) with UT? are there good apps available? Thanks in advance -
RE: No more Telegram notifications
@wgarcia
I know it might seems odd but do you run telegram in multiple UT devices?
I have 2 and I never managed to have notification working on both simultaneously.
Hopefully a more reliable notification system will be available in the forthcoming releases. -
RE: Help testing new legacy image
@timppa
Hi there,
I own a M10FHD too and I would like to jump on Ubports boat myself.
can you provide some details how to install. I would be needing to use a ubuntu desktop to load the file on the tablet. is this correct?
CheersMrH

RE: No more Telegram notifications
@wgarcia
I had the same issue.
Log out and log back in to ubuntu one did not solve the issue however I manage to have notification working by registering (and activating) a new ubuntu one account.
Hope this help, admittedly is more a band-aid solution since Canonical notification service is due to shut off very soon. -
RE: Help testing new legacy image
Joining in (fairly) late ...
I own a M10 FHD, I'm willing to switch to UBports and help with bug reporting and such. However I feel like I need a more detailed flashing guide ( something dumb proof ...) or at least some link with information about the procedure and requirements.
I truly appreciate your effort, keep the ball rolling!
Cheers

RE: UBports Community Q&A: Saturday, April 29, 2017
I take advantage of your kindness and ask:
- Earlier this week Canonical confirmed imminent closure of AppStore. Are you planning an alternative? will it be .click based ? is there any action you recommend to users of the official Ubuntu Store?
- Would you be able to take in charge previously reported bugs or are you setting up a new bug reporting system? are you taking suggestion for priorities (let say through a bounty system)?
- Are you planning to host UT documentation in your wiki?
Thank you in advance.
keep up with the hard work
cheers
