@bobalex70 the problem lies in that the apps do not understand the CIFS (Samba) protocol.
For playing media on your devices, you would be better served by installing Jellyfin or Emby or some other light weight media software on a server if available. And installing the Jellyfin client on your device, or the Emby client if Jellyfin doesn't work on your device.
