RE: Removing device from MI Account after Ubuntu flash?
@smoozz The unlocked splash screen is just what shows up if the phone bootloader is unlocked.
I've been trying to get in contact with the UBports admins to add a custom splash screen which shows "powered by ubports foundation" but to no avail.

RE: Redmi Note 7 / State of play
Call echo has already been fixed on devel.
EDIT: as for the 48MP camera, the sensor is 48, but output is only 12 according to Samsung: https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/isocell/mobile-image-sensors/isocell-bright-gm1/

RE: Installer issues on 4X
@siucdude Hi, that seems to be a issue on some devices. I have made a bug report here: https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/1695

RE: Mtp issues
@arnd Ubuntu Touch GSI on any device is NOT officially supported by UBports Foundation.
As this device is officially maintained by us, we suggest you use UBports Installer to install this port.

RE: Xiaomi Redmi 4X (santoni)
Since 2020/10/28, Redmi 4X has been added to UBports installer.
Please download the latest version of UBports installer and install it. You'll need to check "Wipe userdata" in the installer if you're from Android OS.

RE: Xiaomi Redmi 4X (santoni)
@maciekrz12 said in Xiaomi Redmi 4X (santoni):
Failed to boot
If your device's
userdata
partition is encrypted then unfortunately you'll have to format it, meaning you'll lose all your data.To do so, goto TWRP -> Wipe -> Format Data (the button is in red)
After that reinstall Ubuntu and hopefully it'll work. If not please telnet and give me dmesg (put it on pastebin or something).

RE: Xiaomi Redmi 4X (santoni)
@bisaalz Please try to flash LineageOS 14.1 (just that, don't install Ubuntu), and reboot.
If LineageOS 14 boots, can you try to install Ubuntu again? Perhaps this is needed first, I have not updated my device firmware for months now.

RE: Xiaomi Redmi 4X (santoni)
@danqo6 Perhaps you could try to flash a LOS 14.1 rom first and see if LOS loads.
-
RE: Xiaomi Redmi 4X (santoni)
@bisaalz Format your /data partition as ext4.
-
RE: Xiaomi Redmi 4X (santoni)
@4htet Keyboard not popping up at Google page is probably a UBports error, the same issue is on Oneplus 3.
And read-only file system, you can try
sudo mount -o rw,remount /
to remount the rootfs as root. But your language issue is weird, it could be a UBports issue unless someone tested it on official supported device.

RE: Xiaomi Redmi 4X (santoni)
@BlackOtton Is your data partition f2fs? If it is then change it back to ext4.
