Elementary OS just announced plans to enhance their quite successful Pay-what-you-want app store platform "AppCenter" and extend its reach into other platforms. From what I understand, this includes a new payment wallet system that other platforms can take advantage to increase funding streams. I was wondering whether this is something Ubports and the OpenStore could benefit from as well, as simplified donation/purchase system could increase the income of developers.

Akira UX linux tool crowdfunding campaign
I thought it might be worth mentioning here that there is currently a crowdfunding campaign to create a truly open-source and native Linux UX tool called Akira.
Since industry leading tools like Adobe UX or Sketch etc. are paid, closed source and not available on Linux that could be a real game changer for the Linux desktop (and potentially convergent Unity8).
You can learn more and hopefully support it on the Kickstarter campaign page.
Please spread the word!

CORS workaround
Hi,
I'm using the Keepweb App on my Ubports phone. However, it can't load files via WebDav etc. because the server does not provide CORS headers.
Is there a way to disable CORS security in Webapps like there is for Electron Apps?
Thanks for any advice!

RE: Mailpile on Ubuntu Touch?
Thanks for your reply! Right, the thing is I'd need internet connection on my phone for the webapp to work, so there wouldn't be offline use. That's why my reasoning was, hey, why not treat my phone as a server but maybe that's not possible because it's not as easy as installing apache2 on ubuntu desktop to get a server right?

Mailpile on Ubuntu Touch?
Hi,
I was wondering whether it might be possible to package and run Mailpile as an email app on Ubuntu Touch (compare installation instructions). I'm looking for a good Ubuntu Touch email client and while I'm aware of Dekko, I'm not sure if it can provide a fully-featured stable Gmail like experience in the near future (particularly when it comes to encryption).
My question is whether it would be technically possible to provide an Ubuntu Touch 'app wrapper' around the upstream Mailpile package and if so how complicated that would probably be. From what I understand, it is possible to run Python-based backends and HTML based interfaces on Ubuntu Touch but I'm not sure about actual limitations in comparison with an official Ubuntu Desktop system.
Thanks for any insight/thoughts on that topic!

RE: Q&A 39 This Saturday 27/10/18 @19:00 UTC.
How is the Anbox development coming along? For those who already use it, how stable is it, what apps and features (GPS, Bluetooth etc) are working?
