I will definitely look at the "flohacks" soon, but for the next 5 days I'm not anywhere near my pc.
The tutorials of the hacks seem straightforward enough but when I run into trouble I know where to ask for help

Problems installing UBports on Oneplus One
Hello to you all.
I’m new to the forum and in need for help already
A couple of weeks back I decided to take the plunge and bought my self a secondhand Oneplus One to discover the world of UBports.
Today I finally took the time to go through the proces of the installation. I used the installation tool on a pc running Ubuntu 18.04.
All went smooth initially, but then I got the “Yikes”-message that something had gone wrong. Unfortunately I did not make a screenprint so I can’t reproduce the exact message. Instead I chose the option to try again. This time the program kept hanging, nothing happened.
The result is that when I when I restart the phone it goes no further then the screen with the oneplus-logo. I can boot into (UBports) Recovery. There I have 6 options to chose from.I’m kind of lost now and unsure hoe to proceed. Any help is very much appriciated.
Best regards, Gert

@advocatux @Lakotaubp
Thanks a million to you both. I just finished installing UBports on my Oneplus One. It took me a couple of tries to find a usb-cable that didn't mess things up, but after the third time it succeeded. Time to start exploring!

RE: Problems installing UBports on Oneplus One
Hello all,
It has been a while since I installed UBports on my OPO and it has been running fine for me. The only problem during (or after) the proces of the installation was that the phone wasn't recognized anymore by neither my windows- nor my linux desktopcomputer, allthough this has'nt been a problem for me using the phone on a daily basis.
Last week I installed OTA-5, which worked flawlessly, by the way. Today I decided to plug my phone into my computer, running windows in this case, and to my surprise the phone was recognized as 'bacon'. So the little problem I had has been resolved.So, no questions for help this time, but just to let you know. Thanks for all the great work done so far with UBports.
