@Lakotaubp Thanks...I think my main question was going to lead to "Can I install UT on my current Samsung Galaxy S9 Edge to ditch Google altogether, and will it interfere with the function of my phone at all, such as my phone number...or am I stuck in the weird world of preloaded phones that can't be altered?

@normandc Thanks...I'd rather stay away from Google run devices just out of principle, I have a Galaxy S9 Edge, not sure what other systems it is supported by though

I'm looking to go Google-free and have been reading several older threads about replacing the OS and Ubuntu Touch seemed promising despite the articles being over a year old. Am I looking in the right direction here? Is this the right product to explore?
