Thanks to everyone who responded. I'm definitely going to give it a shot. If nothing else, it keeps another device out of the landfill or someone's drawer.

Question about Ubuntu Touch running on a Nexus 7
A friend has a 2013 Nexus 7 tablet that she's offered to give to me. I was wondering, in light of the tablet being six years old, how well or badly Ubuntu Touch runs on it. So, I'm turning to the community -- specifically, anyone who's install UT on a Nexus 7.
Is Ubuntu Touch slow on the device? Are there any display issues? Problems with wifi? That sort of thing.
Thanks in advance!

RE: NexDock 2 and Ubuntu Touch
@kugiigi That crushes my hopes and dreams
Seriously, thanks for the information. Kind of sad, but I guess that gives me a good incentive to save my money and get a Librem 5 when they're available. By the time I have enough money, I'm sure version 2 (with any major bugs/issues squashed) will be out.

@dobey Kind of disappointing. I guess I could use the trackpad on the NexDock (even though I hate trackpads).

@tera When I hear back from them (assuming I do), I'll ask about an updated video. That's pretty nifty, though.

NexDock 2 and Ubuntu Touch
I'm assuming some (or more) of you have seen the Kickstarter for NexDock 2. This looks very interesting: the build quality appears to be better than the original NexDock and it even supports the RaspberryPi.
I'm wondering if anyone knows if the NexDock 2 would work with a device running Ubuntu Touch. I have a Nexus 5 running UT and this would be a good fit. And, yes, I've contacted the folks behind the NexDock but have yet to hear back from them.
Thanks!
