That may be a clue. I will try to run UB ports on Ubuntu in Virtual machine.

RE: Nexus 4 can't install via UBports installer
@advocatux @Ingo okay I got it. I should be able to upload some files to the device using adb and boot it.
I found recovery image, adb is able to connect to the device in recovery mode.
I understand that the process could differ between devices but I am not sure where I can find UB installer config for my device and all required files.
In http://cdimage.ubports.com/devices/ I can't find files listed in .catch/ubports dir, also my local .catch/ubports is empty.
Should I look for Nexus 4 config in repo https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer or somewhere else?
@apost02 sudo ubports-installer just runs gui. Also, it's not available on macos after ubports installation. -
RE: Nexus 4 can't install via UBports installer
Hi @advocatux, indeed I am trying to use https://developers.google.com/android/images#occam. Tried few versions but all ended up with loading screen (screen after "Google" sign) for longer than 20 minutes.
I get it, after watching the video about installing UBport I expected some notifications or information from UBPort but after starting installation it switched the phone into flash mode and stay at that step with no further information (I have waited about 5 minutes).I know Canonical doesn't support UT anymore but anyway all old tutorials linked old website. Good to have the new one! Thanks!
I can connect fastboot with my phone but aa I don't have a working system I can't use adb. Also, I use flash-all process from developers.google.com based on zip file, so I am a bit confused with http://cdimage.ubports.com/devices/ for mako. Can I use tar.gz the same way as a zip file? -
Nexus 4 can't install via UBports installer
I wanted to install Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus 4. I checked if the bootloader is unlocked, and tried UBports installer. It recognized the phone and switch to flash mode... and that's it. No more notifications from phone or UBports installer.
I tried to install manually but seems all sources are outdated. Finally, I tried: http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch/vivid/daily-preinstalled/current/ but silly flashed boot.img into boot partition.
I tried to fix it with using factory images and flash-all to recovery Android with no success so far.
As most videos from YT is outdated... is there any guide how to install Ubuntu touch on Nexus 4?
