As flo said, we are working on a completly new Telegram app that will support audio and actually is ready to playback audio files. You can get a alpha version of it if it's really urgent but, we think it will be ready end of the year.

RE: Suspicious connections of Signal and to ubuntu
@humungus,
here is an article, why signal uses amazon aws
https://signal.org/blog/looking-back-on-the-front/
The connection to ubports or ubuntu could be the push-notifications-server.
What do you mean by "strange name"? The used namespace istextsecure.nanuc
. The textsecure is the historical name of signal and nanuc us the name of the maintainer.Best

RE: Onion Browser On Ubuntu Touch
Actually Onion Browser is a full clone of Morph browser and when morph improves it has to be merged anyway

RE: Links from webapps are opening in Onion browser default instead of Morph
I will have a look into adding tor to morph, but my idea was to get some feedback from the tor foundation, because then we have a semi-official tor-browser.
That never happend.
Adding non tor browsing means we have something like rival browser to morph and I am the only person maintaining Onion, while ubports and more people are behind the other one.
So either what we need is- Standard app selection for url handlers -> unlikly to happen soon
- Unregister the url-handler -> i like it to have onion browser as first choice
- Disable/enable option for tor in onion -> how should we visually indicate, that tor is off?
- Add tor to morph -> i have no clue how to addapt the deb building for including tor-binary in the right place -> help needed

RE: Links from webapps are opening in Onion browser default instead of Morph
The problem here is, that morph and onion are registering an url handler...

RE: How to use pthread in Native App
If it's still relevant, you are missing
set(THREADS_PTHREAD_ARG "2" CACHE STRING "Forcibly set by CMakeLists.txt." FORCE)
or something equal.

RE: Content-hub import Pictures
I think that's the idea of the content hub by design. Every app can only work with his/her own chunks of bits, so if you make a photo send with signal and telegram, then you have 3 copies of that file, because if you delete it on the phone, signal and telegram are still using their copy...
Image { source: <the link to the Image> }
is possible in unconfined profile in apparmor apps, but then your app needs a manual approval in the open store
