I'm with 16.04 (OTA 7). I start skype (8.40.0.70) from my webmail (hotmail) then i can see my contacts, I hear the speeches (skype askes me to use my micro), i can send pictures and text, but it doesn't find my camera... -

Hi ! It's ok for me. I did it. I try to explain with my magic english. So, in my case, the problem was I started the flash_tool without sudo. I went to the tool's files and I wrote sudo ./flash_tool and let's go
Before I tried with modemmanager remove without sucess...
For french peoples : Attention l'outils flash_tool doit être lancé avec la commande sudo ./flash_tool dans un terminal. Avant, bien se place rdans le bon dossier avec la commande cd
