It’s worth repeating. Android is not a viable base for an independent or even just collaborative operating system. Android is Google and only Google’s project.

@sovtechfund funds foundational work that @postmarketOS can reuse to build a more robust system.
Users will be able to perform efficient upgrades, downloading only the newest changes instead of downloading a whole new system.
Users will be able to downgrade easily if they want or need to.
That’s public money well employed, on international, open, transparent tech. That’s our way towards digital sovereignty.

Apple adds even more ads in the search of the App Store despite being outrageously rich.
I’ve used Apple products despite them being opaque because there was a sense of quality. Cook is undoing everything that made Apple different.
I can’t wait to have a usable alternative to the iPhone. That’s one more reason to donate to @postmarketOS
