Can't flash bq e4.5 Ubuntu Edition
-
Hello out there,
yesterday I've read about flashing my old bq aquaris 4.5 ubuntu edition phone on twitter. But - sadly - the ubports installer on windows 10 does not identify my phone. It stops working on the "Please Reboot to bootloader"
There are two modes on the phone:
The First one is a menue with a blue font to test the hardware (power on + vol down I think)
the other mode is "select a boot mode" (recovery / fastboot / normal) (power on + vol up)Are there any hidden hints to flash? Has anyone a tip for me?

@dh Hi please pop over to https://t.me/WelcomePlus
They will have all the info you need. They are the welcome and install group.
If you have any further issues please come back here. -
@dh you can also try first the latest installer, that's https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/releases/download/0.1.20-beta/ubports-installer.0.1.20-beta.exe
See the windows tips here https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/#troubleshooting too
Good luck!

@dh @advocatux just reminded me the installer version I am still using on windows 10 is 0.1.9.103 (0.1.9 beta), with adb-setup- 1.4.3 I have had no issues other than having to change USB cable.
Have fun and try to enjoy the process. -
When I tried to do it via the installer my E5 and M10 took all ok and it was a nice and easy process. However the One PlusOne was another issue. First it would not detect the device and then it got stuck at the same place as yours. In the end, I decided to try via the server image rather than the installer. This worked for me and now it is running fine. May be an option to look at, if the installer continues to give you issues.

Power it down, boot with power + volume up buttons and select fastboot with vloume up and then volume down for OK.
That worked for me

@peprolinbot Hi thanks for your interest but In case you missed it this threads last post was nearly a year ago. It is best to not reply to such old threads also your last post was nothing to do with the windows version of the installer so I have removed it. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
