OwnCloud Sync is connecting but not syncing
-
I installed OwnCloud from OpenStore the configuration works, I can chose my local and remote folder, than I can can click sync in Sync-Service and it says "last sync : 31 Minutes ago"
So every thing seems to be OK. But no files are landing in my home directory... -
In the local folder I only can see some *.db files. See screenshot. 0_1495457075486_screenshot20170522_144248780.png

I solved it by going to General Settings and selecting a Sync Frequency.
By default it is selected No Sync and I think it is interpreted as not to synchronize never, even if you use the button to do it.
-
@uzanto unfortunately not working but thanks.
Could it be a certificate issue?
-
Have you selected the local and remote folder in Sync settings?
Also in account settings I select my username by this way username@domain.org not just the username

@Bastos https://bugs.launchpad.net/owncloud-sync/+bug/1591238I have done all the three advices, but unfortunately no success.
I also tried to add a folder on the device (loacal) to see if it works the other way, but also nothing. -
My config:
General Settings
Username
username@domain.com
Password
xxxxxxxxxxxx
Server URL
https://cloud.domain.com
Sync on Mobile Data uncheck
Sync Frequency
15 minutesSync Settings
Local Folder
/home/phablet/ownCloud
Remote folder

I have deleted the app -> restarted -> installed again but all the old settings are there. So how do I purge owncloud?
I tried sudo su -> apt-get purge owncloud but it fails... -

I managed to get the settings deleted.
uninstall owncloud -> File Manager (hidden files enabled and in root mode) -> home/phablet/.config/ownclod-sync -> delete the config file -> reinstall owncloud
and config starts new -

Your advice username@domain.com did not work. I had to chose only username to succesfully connect...
... but unfortunately the previous selected folder config has not been deleted. So I tried adapt settings but same problem.
Does anybody know where and how to delete the entire configurations of an app?
-
@Bastos Delete the folders /home/phablet/.config/owncloud-sync and /home/phablet/.local/share/owncloud-sync I think that's all you need.
Have you tried to use http instead https on the address?
-
I tried to delete both folders. Configured -> got connection -> set local and destination but all the same
The two differences are,
- that I have not choosen / but a specific directory (Do not want to have 45GB synced..
- I do not use /home/phablet/ownCloud because folder ownCloud is not there and OC has no privileges to create. So I created out of OC /home/phablet/Documents/MobileDokumente
Could it be that it is set to one way sync by default and/or "local has priority" and I have to change to two way sync?
-
Have you tried to use http instead https? It's my last bullet...

Tried, but the same unfortunately...

For me it just worked "out of the box" on my phone and tablet. My config :
Account Settings
Username & Password (same format that when you log in your server website, for me it is just the username, not username@domain.org)
Server URL : https://webcloud.zaclys.com
Sync on mobile data checked (but it also works unchecked)
Sync frequency : 60 minutes (what you want but don't choose "No sync" !)Sync Folders
Local Folder : /home/phablet/Documents
Remote Folder : /DocumentsLocal Folder : /home/phablet/Pictures/com.ubuntu.camera
Remote Folder : /Photos/AquarisLocal Folder : /home/phablet/Videos/com.ubuntu.camera
Remote Folder : /Videos/AquarisSync service
you have to activate the service
you can manually sync to test your configI use a server from Zaclys : https://www.zaclys.com/
They use the 8.0.4 Owncloud version but they offer the Nextcloud 12 version too.I tried too with Unixcorn : https://unixcorn.org/
with https://cloud.unixcorn.org and a 12.0.2 Nextcloud version but it never worked for me (no sync).I suppose that Owncloud-Sync doesn't works with Nextcloud. It would be great thought !
I hope all of this could help you.
