        @xsetiadi Hi,
        The easiest answer is for you to use the stable version, this is my daily driver and I want to avoid most of the problems edge channel can still have.

        But if you're just curious and a little bit adventurous than I heard (read in fact) that Edge is pretty neat and advanced so you can give it a try.

        By the way it has been 2 years now that I don't use android. And I don't miss it.
        I can create the few apps that I need, so I'm a happy free man now.

        BR

          @xsetiadi If you start with stable get used to that then perhaps try Development (easy to change back and forth from System settings, Upates, Update Settings, Channels) which is the very latest daily build of UT.
          Edge is where UT is moving to and can be a bit twitchy at times but well worth a look but maybe not for daily use for everyone just yet.

            5 months ago im using sailfish os on Xperia x, but im kinda boring with its pretty interfaces, because from teenager im usually using Debian/Ubuntu based Linux on desktop. so im not usually using Linux based on fedora (like on sailfish os)

            the only thing im miss if using ubuntu touch is maybe chatting apps like WhatsApp. because people in my country is still using this rather than using telegram.

            but anbox is worth a shoot.

              I'm using the RC channel.

                  @xsetiadi FYI I just looked in the Open Store and there are 3 WhatsApp web apps available.

                    @Ken Absolutely! If you're not using a device that UT is supported on, a Nexus 5 or OnePlus One can be had pretty cheap. You can also look in the Open Store to see what apps are available that will replace what you're using now in Android.

                        @xsetiadi Sorry, I didn't know (I don't use it myself). Is there a desktop/web based version of WhatsApp that doesn't require an Android login?

                          @Photojoe4 im hear a rumour WhatsApp will have a new feature that can log in separate like a telegram, so if WhatsApp on android not online, we can still use WhatsApp on desktop.

                          but I don't know exactly when this feature is available.

                            @normandc Thanks...I'd rather stay away from Google run devices just out of principle, I have a Galaxy S9 Edge, not sure what other systems it is supported by though

                              @Lakotaubp Thanks...I think my main question was going to lead to "Can I install UT on my current Samsung Galaxy S9 Edge to ditch Google altogether, and will it interfere with the function of my phone at all, such as my phone number...or am I stuck in the weird world of preloaded phones that can't be altered?

                                  That question has already been answered.
