          Is it just the video of the drawer's height decreases while closing? πŸ˜›

          Anyway, I have to be honest, I'm questioning their dedication to get UT on it.
          In my opinion, they should get the devices to developers as soon as possible as it is important as well.
          There's only a few planned OS out there, they don't need to send 100 phones πŸ™‚
          It feels like they only care about PureOS.

          Okay enough of conspiracies and negativity πŸ˜„
          I'm still happy that there's progress and UT will sure be available on the platform.
          It's still too expensive for my wallet though πŸ˜›

              Anyway we'll have a super Pinephone with a super UT more within reach of the purse due to the convergence of the interests of two super structures (PINE64 and Ubports) !!

                  Lets give the purism guys some more time... They shouldn't have put so much pressure on themselves... So lets be patiently. Also, anyone who receives a librem 5 and wants to speed up the development (alias being the first one with UT on the librem 5), is free to send it to Norway or Dakota or wherever for some time... πŸ˜‰ No need to receive it from Purism directly actually.

                      @hummlbach, absolutely not. There's a certain breaking point where we feel comfortable taking a donation from a community member. A device they haven't used for a while and don't want (and has depreciated significantly)? Sure. An $800 brand-new in-box device that they've been waiting three years for? That feels a bit too much like abusing our position in the community. No one should feel like they need to do that.

                        I hope I'm wrong, but I've been getting very bad signals from Purism lately. Three weeks after the loud self-congratulations about having met their ship date (which had already slipped twice), has anyone seen any evidence the Librem 5 has shipped to anyone outside of Purism, or that it's a working device software-complete to even the low standard which was promised? So far I have seen no photos, no video, no review from any customer, nor even any video from Purism themselves showing the phone taking or placing a phone call. Has anyone else turned up any of these things?

                        Edit: I should make clear that I don't mind they missed their earlier dates. Best to get the product right than to ship something half-assed just to meet a paper target. But I am getting a very bad feeling about a company that talks nonstop about how transparent they are whilst at the same time being about as transparent as tar.

                        Also, despite these feelings, I haven't attempted a refund. From the beginning, I thought it was likely the Librem 5 would fail but that it was worth supporting nonetheless. Maybe it won't fail. I certainly hope it won't. But for the moment, all I am seeing are bad signs.

                          @Flohack oh, wasn't expecting that.
                          @UniSuperBox For me that would feel like a win-win-win-situation (to be clear: to lend the device to ubports). I would definitely do it (if you were comfortable with that. But to be clear again: haven't backed it.). So in my eyes this wouldn't be an abuse of your position in the community, since it would be in the sense of the community. But I would understand if you don't feel comfortable with that because there is certain chance to break the device...

                              Now, if only I could convince people to give me a million dollars for something that's expected to fail.

                                My guess is most of the people who funded it expected it to succeed. It seemed like a moonshot to me, but they were the only people publicly touting a phone platform at that time that was not tied to a proprietary operating system in some form or another, so I gave them $600 (or whatever it was at the time) to see what they could do.

                                I backed the Ubuntu Edge too, FWIW. Got a refund for that. Have no idea what I'll get from Purism. I do hope they succeed, and I do hope I get a phone from them someday, but they're being the opposite of transparent at the moment, which is worrisome.
