RE: An idea for the UBports/UBtouch website
@gimenez
It looks great in my opinion. It does give a good oversight of all major features and subjects. It is easy to understand even for non geeks. Good job. -
RE: Sony Xperia X loses Wifi Connection
@ilija_zmaj
Correction to my previous post. It is true that I don't lose connection while I am in reach of my router. Once I lose that connection because I leave home, my phone will not connect to or find any wifi signal unless I reboot my phone. It seems that it just does not bother to search for possible connections. -
RE: PinePhone
I definately will buy a pinephone in March. I have been using the Aquaris E5 and N5 for years now as my daily driver. They have never let me down so far. Yes I need "line", "skype" and "whatsapp" on the phone but that is ,sort of, promised for sometime this year. Ubports may be the most important project for Linux.

RE: PinePhone
@PINE64 Thank you for that clarification. Yes, it was mainly to find out if there would be the special edition with 3GB RAM and more storage. And there would be at least one customer (me!
). As for the units that will be put on the market, the number is interesting.
Make it two!!! and I believe many thousands more.

RE: "UbuntuTouch" name
@lduboeuf said in "UbuntuTouch" name:
I remember a talk on AppDev channel about UbuntuTouch naming issue, can someone please explain me how it goes ?
If so are there any new name choosen ?Google results for Ubuntu Touch:
About 49.900.000 results (0,55 seconds)
Why would you want to change the name? -

RE: Unity is back
Unity7 and more so Unity8 should have revolutionized the computing experience. We all knew where we would find the menus, no matter whar application, no pushing the mouse from one corner to the next just to start an app. Open the main menu left corner down the bottom. The apps are at the top. The one that you are looking for is usually on page 3, even though you're using it daily. The save button is on the top right whereas the cancel button is at the top left. It is an ergonomical nightmare. Unity is the reason why I made the decision for Ubuntu.

RE: Video calls, what current solutions
@domubpkm right now there is a skype webapp available in the OpenStore. It does work quite well. Give it a try. Skype has one big advantage over other video-messengers since it is available for every platform, intel, arm, windows, ios, smartphone and desktop. And now on ubuntu touch.

RE: Wifi issue
@tobsend
there is a similar problem with the Xperia X. Randomly losing Wifi. I thought I should mention this, perhaps the problems are related. -
RE: Sony Xperia X loses Wifi Connection
@malmsdoom
I had reset my router today and my phone never did reconnect again. I had hoped this problem would go away as the development progressed. (rc channel, stable channel) -
RE: Sony Xperia X loses Wifi Connection
@mjosenhans, there are a number of routers on my list. With my bq hd i never had a problem navigating between them. With my Xperia X it simply disregards (not showing) any Wifi router, if on my list or not, once the connection is interrupted. If i reboot my phone I can see something like 20 routers in my vincinity again. Definitely a bad bug.
