I would like a lot of extra tools in the phoneapp but am not able to program it myself.
Being able to record ones phonetalks within the phoneapp and automatic transfer them to dropbox / icloud / onecloud / etc.
It would be nice to be able to list the numbers I don't want to recieve calls from and just have the phone play a recorded message (a specific message for each specific number) when they call.
I don't want calls from phones not leaving their number so I want to be able to record a message for them too.
Am I the only one missing this ?

@TomRausner you can file that in enhancement-proposals so the developers can noticed it.

Recording calls is not that important. Blocking - of course. For messaging app it should be added too. With an option to give user a notification that the blocked person has called or texted.
Next vital thing - T9 dialer. Now this is very handy thing that most OS-es have for a few years already. This should be the priority for the phone app.

What do you mean with T9 Dialer? Being able to type letters with T9? At least on my FP2 this is already incorporated

Thank you @guru. Out of my opinion it is mandatory for us to respect the privacy of both sides regardless of regional laws.

@Bastos, I mean that I when I type in a few digits, I can see phone numbers from contacts listed and filtered by the number I typed AND whether their names contain characters that match typed digit via T9.
Is it? Could you post the screenshot then? I haven't heard of it landing so I'm curious how it looks if it has landed recently.
It's definitely absent for me on Ubports stable for Pro 5.

@advocatux Please guide @TomRausner and other people in the future to the app sub-project and not to the main trackers:
The ubports tracker is for general things and the core OS image, as well as hardware/phone-related issues. App-related issues go to their own trackers.

@Flohack thank you for pointing that out. There are so many webs, sub-webs, parallel-webs, etc related to UBports that sometimes is not easy to find the right one
Edit: that Dialer App link has an extra "l" at the beginning.
