You are not able to get to the "Home" screen for the moment. You either close the app or open a new one.

Are you able to get to the "Home" screen? By that I don't mean the launcher.

              @Rondarius

What do you call the "home" screen?

If that's the old canonical home scope, that is dead since a long time now... And you'll never get it back.

But as i understand, that's not what wants OP, but maybe i'm wrong.

Well I think that was what Mr. Smartyman meant.

I think he means how can he get to the "desktop"/"Background", there isn't a button that does that, but there has been talks about having a button that shows you that screen.

yeah, I didn't know if there was a function I was missing that brought me back to the "desktop" or "home" or whatever that place is where you start.

I guess not. My device is the OPO, so no physical button.

You have 3 ways doing this,
                            text alternatif
                            text alternatif

Or you can swipe from the left edge to the right edge.

                              Vollaphone (UT 20.04)

Thanks for all the replies. I'm just so used to having a single button to get back to the desktop.

I guess I can swipe and press instead of just press.

You can go github and ask them to implement a home button, in notification bar i.e.

Edit : something like that maybe
                                    text alternatif

@Mr-Smartyman well as soon as OTA 12 is out, you will have to close all apps to get to the "desktop" but maybe by OTA 13, you'll be able to get to the background by swiping and tapping, but I'm not so sure how thats working.

Its not a priority because I don't think many people will be asking to get to the "desktop" as opposed to other more pressing issues, or desired features.
