Recover files while stuck in bootloop?
-
My phone suddenly doesn't want to boot anymore, but there a couple photos I just took and want to recover before reinstalling. It's stuck on the OEM logo. Using a Poco F1 with Halium and Ubuntu Touch Edge.
Is there any way to recover my photos?

When reinstalling you should be able to keep the user data (you have to actually choose to overwrite it), so it should be fine. Not to say taking a backup first isn't likely to be a good idea if possible, but it shouldn't be necessary.

@potet But how do I make a back-up when UT is not booting? That's my question.

@Vistaus
I think you should try to reinstall UT in order to boot and access your data.
As someone stated on this forum it's hard to trully brick a phone, so there are chances you are able to fix the installation and be able to access your photos.Of course I don't know what lead to this situation. If the memory is somehow corrupted it might be harder or even impossible without physically accessing the memory from an external device.
Trying to reinstall is the easiest solution I can imagine right now.And don't forget NOT to wipe the data

@Vistaus If you can boot TWRP, you can back it up to an SD or pull it that way. But, only if there isn't anything wrong with memory/emmc.

That turned out to be the solution! Thank you so, so much!
