@Vistaus If you can boot TWRP, you can back it up to an SD or pull it that way. But, only if there isn't anything wrong with memory/emmc.

That turned out to be the solution! Thank you so, so much! 🙂

@potet But how do I make a back-up when UT is not booting? That's my question.

Same with the Dutch translation... these strings are all perfectly translated on Weblate and have been for some months now, yet show up untranslated in Ubuntu Touch.

    • Recover files while stuck in bootloop?

My phone suddenly doesn't want to boot anymore, but there a couple photos I just took and want to recover before reinstalling. It's stuck on the OEM logo. Using a Poco F1 with Halium and Ubuntu Touch Edge.

Is there any way to recover my photos?

    • RE: Mobile hotspot: 5 GHz?

But that still doesn't answer my question if this functionality is supposed to be present or not, i.e. does Ubuntu Touch support 5 Ghz hotspots on other devices or not (and if not, is there a (cli) workaround)?

Anyone? There's gotta be a solution for this, even if it's cli-based solution...

@Vistaus You'll be dissappointed about Pinephone since it doesn't support 5GHz Wifi.

Thanks, but that was not my question... I need a 5 GHz hotspot now for work, but not in the future when I buy a PinePhone and have different connectivity.

    • Mobile hotspot: 5 GHz?

I have UBPorts Ubuntu Touch Edge running on a Poco F1 for a few months and almost everything has been working fine, and I am considering buying something like a PinePhone. However, one thing that seems to be missing is an option to set the mobile hotspot (i.e. creating a Wi-Fi hotspot using mobile data) to the 5 GHz band. Is that a Halium/libhybris issue or is that missing in Ubuntu Touch? If the latter, is there an unofficial way to force it to use 5 GHz (i.e. using the cli or by editing a file)?

    • RE: Selling or donating Bq Aquaris M10 FHD Ubuntu Edition?

@advocatux said in Selling or donating Bq Aquaris M10 FHD Ubuntu Edition?:

@vistaus hi, yes you can sell it or donate it, of course, but have you tried the new Ubuntu Touch version? Maybe you'll change your mind after seeing it 🙂

But how much would it be worth still? That's what I want to know.

And no, I haven't tried the new Ubuntu Touch version. I don't really see what I would do with it other than playing around for a couple of hours. Not to rain on UBPorts parade or anything, I appreciate their effort! It's just that at this point I don't know what I would do with Ubuntu Touch, I have no use case for it (like I had when Canonical was still developing it, but I moved on, so my vision has also changed, if you know what I mean). So I'd rather make someone else happy, either by selling it to an individual or by donating it to the UBPorts Team.

@vistaus Hi I've moved the post as its probably better suited to the off topic section. We don't do selling directly through the site, but you could possibly direct someone to somewhere off site if thats what you wanted. However if you wanted to donate the device I'm sure it would be put to good use in the future development of UBports Ubuntu Touch, and be gratefully received. If thats what you decide to do pm me.

I wasn't going to sell it through this forum, I just wanted advice on if it's actually worth something still or if I'd be better off donating it to the UBPorts Team.
