How to identify "other files"

When checking the storage of my device, it says there are more than 16GB of "other files".
Since I store my videos, music, etc on an SD-Card, I have no idea, what these "other files" might be.
Is there a way to identify them?Thank you!

Files used by apps are often copied and label as "other files" -
@applee yes, figured that out. I found most files by just searching the device for big files.
The Media Player App copied every video watched in some folder. That made more than 90% of the "other files".
Maybe I can find the rest, too. But that's not urgent, since they don't make up much space. -

Yes, because of confinement, apps should often copy file into their own space.
For media files, the best is to store them in the dedicated folders then the app with matching right can access them directly without the need to copy them.You can see how much space each app is taking if you need to clear that space...
