Re: The newest bluetooth thread (MX4 and OPO)

I've read through the above thread, but could not really wrap my head around whether my problem is fixable, and if so, how.
Here's what the problem is: I have an Oneplus One running UT. I have just acquired a Jabra Drive handsfree carkit thingie that I'm hoping to use with said phone.

        • I can pair the devices.
        • They can connect.
        • The carkit can receive an incoming call (which is all that I want to use the Jabra for).
        • I can answer the call by pressing the button on the carkit. BUT: the caller gets an unfamiliar message on their screen (something that mentions 'voice' and doesn't look like anything he's used to seeing) and most importantly, neither of us can hear the other.

Is there any hope? Any pointers you can offer would be appreciated.

I'm going to take this as a 'no' and will wait to see if things are better on OTA-13.

Sadly bluetooth experience can vary depending on your BT device. Also, calling with VT headset seems to be more problematic. I'm not even sure if it works in any device right now. I believe there were updates to BT recently so that might come with OTA-13. Maybe you can switch to devel to try then you can just go back to stable after.

@kugiigi Now that's an idea worth trying out. Thank you!

@Moem I'm also using an OPO (Bacon), and I am experiencing the same problems.

Sadly, I also don't know, what to do (instead of waiting for the next software release). Greetings.

Hurray! I can happily report that this now works. It was quite easy to pair the phone and the Jabra Drive, and it can now accept calls and then I can both talk and listen.
I 'm going to mark this as resolved! 😄👍

@moem So what was the solution Moem? An OTA update or a channel change?

@cliffcoggin Just the normal updates! I'm on OTA 15, using the Stable channel. And it just works.

                        Great news.

BTW there is a thread where we try to keep track of working devices to help people choose a compatible one.
Could you please comment with the exact reference to your device ?
