I don't know about the A2 specifically but for all my devices you need to be running stock Android before installing. I'm guessing since you mentioned TWRP that you are not.

I have fixed the issue and able to install UT but only RC channel not a stable channel. So far I observed the video camera is not working.
-
@dvs How did you fix it? the info may help others. Can't be 100% sure but there is probably no stable channel yet due to the level of development.

@lakotaubp I had the same problem. I think it's because I installed the wrong Jasmine sprout image found on the internet. The only fix I've found is to get the A2 back to factory setup, using the Mi restore tool, and then do it all again from the start.
Using the link to the jasmine sprout found on the UBports installer, hasn't put back the tux on my fastboot anyway ...

@bristledking hi, with regards to this post Mi A2 : installing UT over Android One - the bootloader issue, do you keep your bootloader unlocked to boot UT ?

@nauvpp Hi!
as keneda wrote in your other post it is not good to lock the device again. Have a look here:

@messayisto hi, thank you very much for these detailed posts!

@keneda I totally agree, i would reboot my phone multiple times a day to gaze a tux. ... just saying.
