Halium 7.1 Test Channel
-
@padu Seems it makes a difference, I had them back after 3rd reboot. The problem existed already with the old port, I hope its not worse with 7.1
-
I pulled my Oneplus One out of retirement a couple of days ago. It had LineageOS 17.1 on it. The installation of UT proceeded without issue. (I installed Stable). I changed to the halium-devel channel, and I'm currently running Version 74.
Rotation and Adjust brightness automatically both work without issue.
I had stopped using the Oneplus One a month ago because I couldn't get mobile data to work. With UT CALLS/SMS/MMS (ATT mvno), camera, Notification LED all work.
Thank you UT Team.

@flohack Update 78 and two restarts after install sensors are back. JFI
-
@lakotaubp Please watch it, I am afraid they come and go as they want lol
-
Wow, I upgraded to version 78. Tagger app now seems to work faster than before. Auto brightness works. Very happy. Great work!
-
The updates for halium devel are shown only if I enter in channels. Also an old downloaded version from devel that failed to install can not be removed.
Also the crazyness seems to be worse than on RC or the old devel.
-
@marius-ciclistu Please define "crazyness"?
-
@flohack the screen behaves like it is touched all over the place. When it is locked, the side menu apears and disapears . Now after updating from halium to stable, it is stuck again in boot ubuntu logo.... The crazyness happens if I miss a call or if I receive a sms/notification
-
@marius-ciclistu Plz use the installer then and select bootstrap option, do not select Wipe Data! This will bring you back to the channel switcher.
However I wonder what wrong on your side, I dont have any craziness and I can switch channels however I like.

@flohack I did. Is the second time this happens. I opened another topic when rc to develop update did not succeed. This crazyness is with me since I started using ubuntu touch. You said is because the charger and that was fixed. With the paste few days/weeks this crazyness is worse than before... Also sometimes the screen becomes unresponsive. The guy from which I bought the opo said its screen was changed.
-
@marius-ciclistu This sounds very much like a hardware issue. If the screen is damaged then you will get a poor/zero performance when using the phone. You will have to fix the phone before the phone becomes usable, unfortunately.
-
@loops I can use the phone. The crazyness dissapears after restart. I'm not shure that this is caused by the hardware. It was a period when devel worked well.
-
@marius-ciclistu You could test the hardware by returning to Android temporarily.
-
@cliffcoggin
Also by switching to Stable.
There is no such issue reported AFAIK.If different SW and same behavior then it is probably HW related.
-
@applee Stable also has this crazyness. I will not change the rc or swich channel anymore, until halium reaches stable. In the past I remember I uploaded a video when reporting this.
-
@marius-ciclistu The problem is you seem to be the only one with this and if I remember correctly your screen has been changed. Can you check the connection to the screen are firm inside the OPO? One last thing is there a screen protector on? If so take that off.
-
@marius-ciclistu Also see this for replacement screen https://forums.ubports.com/topic/4884/op3-help-needed
-
@lakotaubp yes, I use glass screen protection.
-
@lakotaubp I don't have the behavior from that post.
PS. If the phone is in my pochet and I receive a call, sometimes the screen becomes unresponsive. Also, sometimes, when in a call with loudspeacker on, the crazyness happens.
The crazyness apears more often with some versions and less often with others. -
@marius-ciclistu As others have said this does sound like something related to your phone. Testing the original OS might rule out stuff but for you to have issues accross various update channels is very odd. I am running my OPO all day today so will let you know how it goes.
