        Hello,,

I've with some friends a small group in telegram, Yesterday one group member did something (accidently) and in all telegram clients I'm used to us it says "Group has been upgraded to Supergroup". The chat works as before, but in TELEports I've lost all the history of the chats before this chage, in the other clients not.

Is this a known issue? Can I get back the history somehow? Thanks

@guru I would try to unistall TELEports then suppress TELEports directory in .cache and last install back.
May be I am wrong though.

I also left the group and was joined again, no way to see the history before this event of group change to supergroup.

I think that is what happens when you switch to supergroup on telegram. It has nothing to do with TELEports

@kugiigi And why my iOS tg client, the Androids of my friends and my tg web still show all the history?

@guru Oh i see, perhaps it's in the archived chats? Click on the right header icon and select archived.

Plz file an issue at https://gitlab.com/ubports/apps/teleports/-/issues - We will eventually look into it.

@guru Just to rule out that the cache of the history might be offline on the several devices, what happens if you install Telegram Desktop in a clean VM? If you can only see the messages since the switch, you know that all previous messages are only stored offline on the phones they still appear on.

I think this is already clear. The command line client has no local cache, only for downloading images and files on request of download. It has the old history as an user "malepartus#1" and the history after the change as the normal user "malepartus". The merge of both is missing in the cmd line client and in TELEports.
