How to change wallpaper in terminal
-
Is it a chance to change wallpaper in terminal? I have tried
gsetting set org.gnome.desktop.background picture-uri 'path/to/picture.jpg'
but it did not work. -
@becherekmg
Why in terminal as you can do it in settings ? -
@keneda
Probably to automate it and maybe change the background dynamically every few hours... -
@applee Exactly. I am looking for correct command.

You will need to also set the path in the AccountsService dbus API.

Not sure this is relevant or helpful but when I ran xfce4 installed in the root via x-forwarding, changing the wallpaper there also changed the one for Lomiri.
