@becherekmg Yes android 9, version 53.0.A.8.71 flashed by Emma.

Today, I found out that I have empty /android/persist folder. Could it bring about my problems with the cellular? Do I catch correctly, that /persist partition is responsible for sensors and carrier network etc on Android? And is it important to have some files in that folder for the same reason in Ubuntu touch? Other sensors works perfectly, I have no trouble with wi-fi adapter or data. But could be the clue missing files in that folder?
-
@becherekmg i have no "persist" folder in "/android" directory on my device.
-
@becherekmg have you tried the fix by goliath51?

@hengyedev I haven't been able to get updates to work on my phone, but I have just realised that I only temporarily had TWRP on the phone, I never fully installed it (I used the Lineage OS install guide in conjunction with your guide to install Ubuntu Touch: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/kirin/install ) So, the phone doesn't have TWRP on it after I installed Ubuntu Touch (I assume it just has the stock recovery [if there even is one] still installed instead).
Should I properly flash TWRP to the phone? to ensure that the updates that the phone downloads actually install properly. As they seem to download new 'versions' but whenever I click 'Restart & Update' the updates don't get installed to the phone.

how often does the image builds get updated for this?

There haven't been any builds for quite a while now, I really hope that there are plans to make a new one soon as this would be great if it is at all possible as the current builds are getting a little bit old.
Are there plans to have a development roadmap for the Xperia 10? And are there any plans to have it added to the UBports installer?

Would be nice to see updates for this phone. I really like UT, maybe not so much gestures like on SFOS but still i feel UT much more open and have nice community. I dont understand why UT community dont focus on phones which already are supported by Jolla. This might increase potenial users! The reason i bought Xperia 10, is replacement for Iphone SE which is small, handy. Sony 21:9 ratio is perfect joice and quite nice hardware among rest devices! Second reason was support for stable SFOS and in development UT. For me the winner is UT!
I flashed once again UT and what is really missing for long term daily usage is:
- sometimes morph browser crashes due to lack of memory
- app armor blocks sharing images
- no led notifications
- no adb support
- while connected to pc usb, no charge
- sometimes shutdown restarts phone instead real shutdown
- no andbox support
- OTA updates
My question is, can i get some guidence to where look into to fix mentoined bugs? Im programmer, but the mobile phone architecture is something new, i would say the architecure is quite messy and hard to understand from where to start - logs, responsible services, debugin, permissions...

@jbalmer
No need to post the same thing twice.
This would be interpreted as spam. I already answered in the thread you opened.
Also note that we follow the Ubuntu code of conduct https://ubuntu.com/community/code-of-conductNow welcome and I hope you'll manage to install UT on your phone.

I am an old guy who doesn't use forums and I didn't figure out how to post correctly. If you are offended by my mistake, suck it up buttercup. Your statement offends me! Take your loosely defined code of conduct and shove it where the sun doesn't shine, babycakes!

@jbalmer From what I can see @AppLee was only trying to help by replying to one of your posts with the device link you need and pointing out in the other that posting the same thing twice is not a good idea. It makes things confusing and any discussion difficult to follow.
There is no need to be rude to anyone trying to help. We are a very diverse community covering many ages and nationalities and helping each other is why we and the forum are here. So please be kind and polite to your fellow forum users. -

Did I brick it?
I just flashed my Sony Xperia 10 (I3113) according to the guide on top of this thread (thank you for it!).
I used the latest artifacts available (#2351078030 master 60732a96) and flashed sucessfully (I took care of the twrp stuff).
When i did the 'fastboot reboot', the Sony logo showed up, but ever since nothing happended. I did not find a way out of this routine. Can someone help me?
Thanks!
-
@newbie089 I did not brick it!
When the battery was empty, I was able to get back into fastboot mode and use twrp again.I tried and failed to flash it with emma (could not be recognized even though in flash mode (green LED)) so i tried to flash the current devel_flashable (#2351078025 master 60732a96) and I am now back at the start (when I boot there is nothing happening but the SONY Logo showing all the time).
Any help is appreciated. Cheers
