TELEports login issue
Dear All,
you might experience a login issue in TELEports since Telegram has decided to blacklist all older versions of the API without notice. Users still logged in can continue to use the App, though.
We are working with high pressure to rectify this, but due to the nature of a lot of breaking changes we might need some days to fix it. So do not log out from the App right now.
Thanks for your understanding. -
Thank you for the notification!
But now that you mention this you made me remember a question I wanted to ask for some time now :
Has there been any contact between the UBports Team and the Telegram Developers to ask them if they will consider making a Native Client for Ubuntu Touch ?
I mean the TELEports Client works reasonably good but some GUI choices are simply less usefull/user friendly than the ones in the real Telegram Client on Android/Windows/Linux

@nero355 Not sure that it's reasonable for Telegram developers. UT user base is very small, and a separate client development will not be able to recoup the investments.

@ubportsnews Bad news but I found this thread after logging out. Hope you'll fix it as soon as possible, guys. I really appreciate your efforts on supporting this.

@ezze In the meantime, you can build a webapp with Webber and Web Telegram and leave the webapp on. Yes, there are no direct notifications, but it troubleshoots and works very well

There has just been a teleports update to a new tdlib. Kudos to the devs for the rapid turnaround!
Which of the issues discussed recently does this update address?
-
@alan_g I confirm, we were unable to logon Teleports this morning. Today's update did fix the issue.

Wow, guys, you're the best!!!

I know but there is a Linux Desktop Client and with QT you can build stuff that adapts to smaller screens too so that got me thinking about the whole situation!
