Open eml files?
-
Need help opening eml files attached to emails (dekko2). Is there any useful external program doing this in UT? Can read text part of course but cannot view the included pdf file...
Thanks for your help! -
@uwahl
Did you try to open it with Dekko ? -
@Keneda
Yes, I tried with Dekko2 --> when clicking on the attached my.eml file dekko showed external programmes which all were unable to open the file, such as seabass, editors, text/ pdf viewers etc.
Yes, of course I could open it with thunderbird...
But with UT no luck at all... -
@uwahl
As i understood, eml is a microsoft email export file format.
I donn't think much people has use of it so maybe it explains why it's not supported yet.Maybe ask on the dekko git for a feature request so it can open eml files.

A feature request has been opened a long time ago for document viewer :

Hello
It seems that some web browsers are able to read an EML file if you rename itMHLMHT
Don't know if this could work ...

@pulsar33 It works under morph but it is not pure mail: it is only guessable and drowned in codes.
-
@domubpkm : sorry for the typo, it is MHT not MHL

...there is no problem to see the text-part of the eml file. But you cannot see/ separate other parts inside the eml "container", for exemple a pdf file or something else...
Y
UT Zipper cannot open it either...
Is there another archive program inside Ubuntu maybe...?
