Dekko2 how to open attached .wav files?
-
@lduboeuf are you sure the page exist yet ?
-
@domubpkm yes, but as it is on my repo, that is maybe why...
-
@lduboeuf can you put the click test somewhere ?
-
-
@domubpkm i'm not sure if it will work well as there could be a conflict between the default music-app and that one ( content-hub ). I've just updates the link above as the version from my click was prior to the last music app
-
@lduboeuf Thanks. I desinstalled the first and after i installed yours. I must check how that works now.
-
@lduboeuf Is there only your .click to install or the pr content-hub 18 too with the .click ? Because only the .click doesn't seem to do what is expected for me.
But to be sure, what is expected exactly ? The dekko wav file should open directly in music-app and play directly ? -
@domubpkm yes, first install content-hub MR ( reboot) then that click.
-
@lduboeuf There is a great progress: the dekko wav file is indeed read by the music app, but the file must be opened twice by the music app to be read.
Another positive point is that the mechanism for playing one track in loop is still present after rebooting with your .click ! @danfro @CiberSheep -
@domubpkm
Same behavior than this : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/7561/dekko2-how-to-open-attached-wav-files/19?_=1647926384437 ? -

That should work without having to do it twice, at least on my tests here it plays well. But as i said, it could be there is a conflict with the existing music-app.

I see, when the app is already opened it plays, when it needs to be opened it doesn't play but we should see the files at least.

That's right.
I did another test by opening music-app beforehand.
In this case, the dekko wav file is read directly when opening it with music-app. -
@domubpkm i've just updated the click here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kdN967dB1eg_JGyJ8aqZKcM4WTj73U2N/view?usp=sharing
that should fix the "does not autoplay file when not already opened"
-
@lduboeuf Well done, thanks !
I confirm that you have completely solved the problem (checked Volla RC) : good thing, it is even possible to deactivate the looping of a wav dekko attachment, but it is still impossible to deactivate the annoying looping of a track played directly by music app #85, but it is another issue of music-app. -
@lduboeuf Thank you for this improvement, well done!
Will thus this new music app be updated anytime soon in the open store? -

Will thus this new music app be updated anytime soon in the open store?That is now ready for being reviewed. so it depends of the Team, but surely not in this OTA-23
-
@lduboeuf Ok Thank you Lionel, so I take it that the (new) app is linked to the Ubuntu Touch image, and not as an independent application in the OpenStore?
-
@stanwood yes it is dependent of core services ( such as the content-hub)
