Hello,
I have a question about the only mail app on the open store (dekko 2)
https://open-store.io/app/dekko2.dekkoprojectWhy does it required "full system access"?
Is there an alternative to this app?
Thank you

Dekko needs "full system access" because it runs a service in the background that's not suspended. This is the only way to attain that permission (for now) sadly. This service checks your mail every X minutes, so it's kind of important.
For reference, you can find the sourcecode here: https://gitlab.com/dekkan/dekko

Yes, using the webmail from your provider in the browser.

@slivaness - alternatives are some good webapps for running Tutanota or Proton services (both which offer options for sending and receiving encrypted emails), running Geary inside a Libertine container (the gui is a little clunky with this though) - or if your device can run Waydroid, using an Android email client app.

@rogier-oudshoorn : I don't need that Dekko2 checks my email every x minutes. I just need a mail client able to check "on demand" a few e-mail accounts in a safe way. It seems to me that this is what Dekko1 did. Dekko2 should have an option to run without all privileges !
This is the only thing that prevent me from switching definitively from Ubuntu Touch Canonical OTA-15 version (on my daily driver BQ E5) to Ubports OTA-24 (used only for testing on my second BQ E5). So sad ...
