Who wants to maintain uAdBlock (Backend / App)
-
Good day,
For the last few years I have been managing, guiding and developing uAdblock.
But for personal reasons, I just don't find the time for it anymore.
The server that currently delivers the lists will expire at the end of the month.I am looking for someone who wants to take over the domain and the development.
I provide the backend (scripts) and the domain for a move.
If no one comes forward by the end of the month, unfortunately it will not work after that. Many greetings

@beli3ver I may, if there is not anyone more active than me who want to be the new maintainer.

Hoping that one day soon morph-browser can manage the installation of blocklists like any good android browser does (it must be recognized!), which would avoid a large part of maintenance.
-
@kazord Thanks that would be amazing

I think that as long as there is no news on the continuation (or not) of uAdBlock and when the updates of the lists should work again (or not), one should not try to switch enabled lists of uAdBlock, or to switch of UT channel under the risk of lose uAdBlock protection (hosts file will be = 0 bytes)

@beli3ver thank you so much for this amazing app!

@domubpkm I already lost it at 20:04 after continuous updates on dev and now I suffer from ads and fake pages on morph and youtube honestly it's a big loss for this app
-
@kimo I assume that under 20.04 and if you have another UT smartphone with the hosts file that you will transfer to this smartphone, you can restore the hosts file by applying this procedure:

@domubpkm Thank you. I want to try it, but I don't have a copy of the old hosts file

I'm waiting for @beli3ver to get backend script in order to make the app work again
after that, update and 20.04 will come if there is not to much code to change (more code will just means more delays) -
