Ubports projects / OTA-25 (xenial)
-
Hi, I don't know when there is the next Q&A, so I'm asking this way.
Are there still plans to release an OTA-25 for xenial? In the last QA it was planned, but at this time it was expected, that the ESM-Updates includes ARM, what we know now isn't so.What about the ubports projects page? There is no OTA-25 but also no OTA-1 for focal. Will the projects be continued after OTA-1 or is there an other place to look at the release-status?

@kristatos Hi, UBports project page has been moved here:
https://ubports.atlassian.net/jira/software/c/projects/YUMI/issues/?filter=allissues
You will find OTA-25 details in the list as well as the other UT projects development.
Hope there will be a next live Q&A upcoming as well Maybe shortly before the release of the first version 20.04 (?)

there is always switching release channels in my opinion all channels have dragons so you might as well deal with the newest dragons ....but with more functionality

Indeed, there is a need for communication on the progress of focal and OTA-25 (last Xenial I must have seen somewhere). And also on the new project display mode interface (among others), which is not at all functional on smartphones for what I tested and understood.

@domubpkm Notes from Devsync meeting the link is here https://forums.ubports.com/topic/8153/ubuntu-touch-devsync that should cover latest on 20.04

Looking at the links provided in this thread, I still don't see a clear answer to whether OTA-25 will arrive, or when.

@bocephus There will be an OTA-25 from the last Newsletter
OTA-25 Last Call
From Florian Lieber
“As we need to come to a close with OTA-25 I want to remind everyone to add/ping us stories or issues that need to go into OTA-25 *until end of this week. Everything else will have to wait for first (actually kinda second) OTA for focal -

@domubpkm that would be a question to pose to Atlassian, the company behind the software being used.
