So I can uninstall any and every essential app(s) that came with the OS, except for morph browser.

I tried sudo apt remove morph-browser.
system is RO. Which, in any linux based distro is atrocious lol.

So my query is, if I change it to R/W, the OTA will break ; how can I restore OTA after I go through the hassle to uninstall a shady (for me) app like morph?

        Regards.

Some of the core apps like Morph are installed as debs instead of click. This has been the case since the start. Ideally they would be converted to click but it'll take effort and time and someone willing to do so šŸ˜„

Having said that, I don't think it's possible to remove it without breaking the system or at least breaking a function. For example, webapps relies on it as well as some apps that embed a webview.

I don't understand why you think it's shady. If you think it's shady then consider the whole OS shady. They are made by the same people and community šŸ˜…

Welcome to Ubuntu Touch, it's not a standard Linux distro, it's a mobile OS. 😊

            Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

There is a way to remove the app icon if that helps.

Would be atrocious if you could not make it R/W ^^

Fedora Silverblue, NixOS, SteamOS and Ubuntu Core, to name a few, are all r/o Linux systems. The first two at least with a growing following.
