Well, yes, as futur Ubuntu versions will need, like 20.04, minimum Linux kernel versions.
So Android Linux kernels to be updated is important for futur support under... 30.04 maybe one day ?

For helping long term support to the consumers, Fairphone chose the SOC for the FP5 in an industrial catalog BTW, so that there is long term support from vendor Qualcomm, and so that they don't need to work very hard like they did for android 10 on FP2.
