phone/call/sms/ not work
-
@13lenar The problem may be that UT does not yet support VoLTE, so if they only offer VoLTE, then that's the problem.
-
@Moem what I understand from the operator's website, VoLTE is an option in phones that support it. But if the problem is that UB does not support VoLTE, is that why I don't have mobile Internet and I can't read the IMEI number after entering *#06#?

@13lenar said in phone/call/sms/ not work:

No, it shouldn't be. VoLTE is about Voice, in other words: phone calls, not about data.
and I can't read the IMEI number after entering *#06#?
I don't know what that sequence is supposed to do or how it does it.

@13lenar What version of Android where you on before flashing? Unless you are in the USA your provider may support 2,3 or 4 g but if you had the wrong Android version that may be an issue.

Oh Oh This Phone Redmi Note 9 ( Merlin ) is not good. This Device is not Miatool you have a NVram Error? You must install Android 10 for Merlin not Miatool!!! Then Install UT.
-
You may have to import an Imie and Nvram backup via TWRP if you do not have wifi. I also had this problem with the device. In the end I installed a batch 18.1 and got the Imie back. Recommendation since Xenial is live without end off use an alternative system for the device.

here is the List from Firmware for this Device Android 10. Install Miui and Test Ubuntu Touch. USA not 2G this Device works with Lineage OS. https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/merlin/

@Lakotaubp Android10, i liv in erope polend, Is UBports a frontend for Android?
@DPITTI If I install the Merlin version Android on another phone, will it work? Is UBports a frontend for Android? -
i see ubports stop support Xiaomi redmi note 9 so i fingh the party is over.
-
@13lenar Certainly not. What you do need is the correct version of Android that the port was based on for everything to work correctly. If not you get issues like yours.

@13lenar Install the Last Android 10 Version ( Fastboot 4,4 GB ) for Merlin and Check Imei and Calls and SMS with Ubuntu.

It's best to turn off all switches regarding locations and Google when installing Miui Android 10. Then switch on developer mode and run Ubuntu. Then at least theoretically everything should work. I used to have the device too, but now my sister is using it.
