Publishing updated app from another maintainer
-
Hi,
I have ported an app (shoutcast-ut) for focal. It is not my app but the one of wdehoog, I did a pull request on his source code. But wdehoog has no more the possibility to build the app.
You can see details in the pull request here: https://github.com/wdehoog/shoutcast-ut/pull/22On my side I can build and publish an app. I think it would be useful to make the app available to all users.
I could send the click packages to the maintainer and if he accepts he could upload it.
or with approval of maintainer, can we have several publisher for an app on openstore ?
or any other suggestion to manage such situation? -

This would be the best solution in my opinion. This way an app can be be maintained by a team.
@Aloys did some great work so I will upload the new version if there is no way to share the openstore account of this app.

Would be fine if this great app could be back in focal. How @Aloys should he proceed @bhdouglass ?

There currently isn't a way to share an app with multiple users. However, you can have a shared account or setup CI to automatically publish changes (for example, see my blog post).

@bhdouglass Good manual, thank you very much

Thanks @bhdouglass, shoutcast-ut being in github, that would be too much work and time for me to apply it. But for sure this will be really useful for other apps!
@wdehoog, I have tagged my fork of your source code with v0.6 and have uploaded the click package here https://github.com/Ublublu/shoutcast-ut/releases/tag/v0.6.
So if you agree you could upload it in the open store for focal. -
@Aloys many thanks for your work. I published your click file. If you want to change anything on the open store page please ask.
